TANNING FAQS

You will want to tan about 2 days before your event. For brides, we suggest tanning 2-3 days before the big day. Going on vacation? Tanning the day before leaving is best!

Absolutely not! We have a NO orange guarantee for all tans that we offer. Each formula is custom blended to match the undertones of your skin to provide a smooth, flawless color!

Preparing your skin for the spray tan is very important to ensure a flawless outcome and long-lasting tan! Please refer to our “Preparing for Your Tan”(https://jwillisbeauty.wixsite.com/jwillis/preparing-for-your-tan) page for directions on preparing your skin, as well as instructions for during and after your session.

The products you use on your tan directly affect how long it will last! Exfoliation: X-Tan- helps to remove old tans and dead skin to prepare the skin for an even tan application and even tan fade ($16) available in studio X-Tan exfoliating Glove ($8) available in studio Moisturizer & Hydration: Hempz Lotions (all are great) Spraii Glow Butter Lotion- helps with dry skin, but also works to keep your spray or self tan lasting longer. ($20) available in studio For Tan Maintenance & Longevity: Golden Hour spray tan in a can. This aerosol spray allows you to touch up your spray tan on the go. Use it as a tan extender to lengthen the lifespan of your spray tan or as a self tanner. This product takes 8-12 hours to give you that perfect bronze (Tip: use it before bed on a clean face and wake up beautifully bronzed) ($35) available in studio For Travel: Travel Kits (coming soon for purchase in studio!)
